David Wimberly, CPA/PFS, CVA, CM&AA
Mr. Wimberly is a Senior Vice President for Trenwith Group, LLC in Jacksonville, Florida. With over 32 years of valuation experience, he has completed over 1,000 valuation assignments for both public and private companies in a wide variety of companies across many industries and a diverse range of purposes and uses. Mr. Wimberly provides Valuation Services for Employee Stock Ownership Plan, Estate and Gift Tax, Intellectual Property, and Financial Derivatives valuations; Opinion Services involving Fairness Opinions and Solvency Opinions; and Consulting Services related to valuation enhancement and strategic options studies. He previously served as Managing Director and Head of the Valuation Services Group at Scott-Macon, Ltd. from 2007 to 2008; as Co-Founder, Managing Director and CEO at First Financial Group LLC, a Florida-based full-service valuation firm from 1976 to 2007; and at Price Waterhouse & Co. from 1975 to 1976.
Mr. Wimberly is a double alumnus of Florida State University (B.S.) (M.Acc.) in accounting, an alumnus of the University of Florida (M.S.) in industrial engineering / operations research with a focus in financial engineering, and a candidate at The American College for the Master of Science in Financial Services (M.S.F.S.) degree. He became a Florida Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 1975; and he is recognized as a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He also holds the Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor (CM&AA), Certified Senior Business Analyst (CSBA), Machinery & Equipment Analyst (MEA), and numerous other credentials in valuation, appraisal and finance. Mr. Wimberly is a Member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, Alliance of Merger & Acquisition Advisors, The ESOP Association, Society of Business Analysts, Association of Insolvency & Restructuring Advisors, International Association of Financial Engineers, Society of Financial Service Professionals, and the Asset Protection Society. He also served as a Commissioned Officer in the Supply Corps of the United States Naval Reserve for more than 10 years.
