Raymond Ghelardi, ASA
Mr. Ghelardi is a Managing Director with Trenwith Valuation, LLC in its New York City office. He is an experienced valuation professional with over twenty years in the industry. Mr. Ghelardi's valuation experience has covered the gamut in the valuation field, including valuations of operating businesses comprising capital stock, fixed assets and intangibles, in connection with sales, acquisitions, allocation of purchase price and dispositions. He also has extensive experience in real estate feasibility and financial analysis and a diverse background in both the public and private sectors. He is also an experienced litigation support professional, having testified in various courts, depositions and binding arbitration proceedings.
Mr. Ghelardi was previously a Senior Vice President with Management Planning, Inc, Princeton, NJ, where he initiated and developed a corporate valuation division. Prior to that, he was a Managing Director with CBIZ Valuation Group, a successor to Valuation Counselors Group, Inc. where he was also Managing Director and Chairman of the Board. At Valuation Counselors Group, a leading national full service valuation firm, he negotiated its sale to CBIZ, a public company. Mr. Ghelardi also spent a year as a Vice President of Mellon Bank where he ran the bank's valuation services efforts. Previous experience was with EG&G, Inc., a Fortune 500 company, where he participated in feasibility studies for a $3.5 billion industrial facility and directed a permit evaluation for a NASA facility at Cape Canaveral. He also served as a project manager with a leading development consulting firm, participating in site selection studies and analysis for a $1.2 billion industrial facility in Tennessee, elements of New York City's Battery Park City development, and other large industrial plants. Prior to that, he had served for several years on the staff of the Massachusetts Secretary of Environmental Affairs where he administered a statewide environmental review program aimed at industrial development.
Mr. Ghelardi received a Master in City Planning from Harvard University where he was a National Fellow, and a Master in Business Administration in finance from Emory University where he was a Merit Scholar. He earned a Bachelor of Science from Pennsylvania State University. Mr. Ghelardi is a designated Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) by the American Society of Appraisers, certified in Business Valuation, and is a past President of its Princeton Chapter. He is a licensed general real estate appraiser, and has testified as an expert witness before the Supreme Court of the State of New York and various other federal and state courts.
