Administrative Assistant
Trenwith Securities, LLC is a registered broker dealer and a boutique investment bank comprised of seasoned professionals dedicated to providing a variety of corporate finance services, including M&A advisory, private capital placement, and corporate restructuring services to clients in the U.S. and overseas. Trenwith is an independent investment banking affiliate of BDO Seidman, LLP; a member firm of BDO International. Trenwith maintains a domestic presence in eight U.S. offices while providing clients access to the global marketplace through approximately 600 BDO International member firm offices around the world.
As Trenwith is expanding into the Greater Washington marketplace, the position is new.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Assisting with new business proposal preparation, including internet research and other ad hoc projects;
- Assisting the team of managing directors by effectively answering incoming telephone calls to develop commercial relationships with key clients, targets and business referral sources;
- Managing day-to-day calendar, contact and communication on routine matters;
- Making travel arrangements, often in a complex and fast paced environment;
- Managing meeting logistics, including catering support from time to time;
- Inputting expense, time, and other compliance reports as needed;
- Maintaining client database, filing, and NASD files;
- Processing, receiving, copying, filing, and distributing routine correspondence
Qualifications
- Minimum college degree
- Minimum three years experience as an Administrative Assistant. Work at a securities firm, insurance company, or regulated industry a plus
- Detail orientated
- Able to work with limited supervision
- Candidate must be self-directed
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees
- Superior verbal communication skills
- Discretion to maintain the highly confidential information
- Ability to operate in a high volume and fast paced environment
- Experience to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Flexibility to work overtime with limited notice
- Upbeat and outgoing personality
Systems Experience
- Computer proficiency in MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint and MS Outlook
- PeopleSoft time entry and expense system a plus
- Working knowledge of search functions on the internet
- Phone and Fax
- Copy machine
