Associate
We are currently seeking a business valuation Associate for our Los Angeles office. Responsibilities include financial modeling, research and reporting, and client interaction from marketing and execution, to delivery and presentation/defense of the final analyses.
Trenwith Valuation, LLC (a BDO Seidman, LLP Affiliate Company) is a national business valuation firm that combines a client-focused professional practice with ready-access to international investment banking resources as well as an international accounting firm. We provide clients with high quality, defensible valuations of business enterprises, equity, debt and intangible assets for a wide variety of objectives, from merger and acquisition activity and strategic consulting to issuing comprehensive reports for financial and tax reporting, litigation and fairness opinions. We work directly with business executives and owners, as well as attorneys, lenders and other professional advisors to address a full range of business requirements.
Our valuation professionals have a wide range of skills and experience and include Chartered Financial Analysts, Certified Public Accountants, and Appraisers with designations from a number of professional organizations, including the American Society of Appraisers and American Institute of CPAs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing company, industry and economic research
- Analyzing financial statements
- Constructing financial models
- Assessing operational profitability and financial condition
- Developing and reviewing cash flow forecasts
- Navigating public company databases and filings
- Performing benchmark analysis
- Documenting work product in an organized manner
- Writing narrative reports to support valuation analyses
- Preparing exhibits to illustrate complex issues
- Ensuring quality control over work product
Requisite Qualifications:
- Business valuation/financial reporting experience preferred
- CPA/CFA/AM/ASA or other valuation credentials preferred
- B.S./MBA in Accounting/Finance/Economics
- Strong spreadsheet and computer skills
- Ability to organize and access large volumes of data
- Strong analytical skills
- Superior writing and oral communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a team environment
