Job Description


The Vice President will be a critical member of the investment banking team who will be responsible for leading the overall due-diligence process and supporting the senior bankers who are executing the transactions.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of basic accounting and valuation methodologies and will possess strong written and verbal communication skills. The candidate will be expected to research new and prospective clients and their industries, assist in the creation of tailored pitch books, as well as contribute to the composition of financial models and offering memoranda. As a member of execution teams that will range from three to five individuals, the candidate will gain in depth exposure to the financials and operations of companies in a wide range of industries, and to the processing of investment banking transactions including mergers and acquisitions, and private placements on behalf of these companies.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years investment banking/corporate finance experience from a bulge bracket or boutique firm
  • Undergraduate degree from a top institution, with a financial focus preferred
  • MBA a plus, but not required
  • Attention to detail with exceptional analytical aptitude
  • Strong writing skills
  • Proficient with computers and all Microsoft Office applications
  • Can-do attitude and the ability to multi-task during short deadlines
  • Self-confidence combined with a well-balanced personality to withstand the pressures of client service and to sort priorities in the course of managing resources and personal productivity
  • Candidates should be able to flourish in an entrepreneurial environment and have a demonstrated success in closing transactions

Compensation


Compensation is negotiable, depending on experience, and includes an attractive benefits and bonus package.
