Analyst (Investment Banking)
Job Description:
The Analyst is a critical member of the investment banking team and is responsible for leading the overall due-diligence process and supporting the senior bankers who are executing the transactions.
The ideal candidate will have work experience in an investment banking environment, a solid understanding of basic accounting and valuation methodologies and will possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
The candidate will be expected to research new and prospective clients and their industries, assist in the creation of tailored pitch books, as well as contribute to the composition of financial models and offering memoranda. The candidate will gain in depth exposure to the financials and operations of companies in a wide-range of industries, and to the processing of investment banking transactions including mergers and acquisitions, and private placements on behalf of these companies.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- A minimum of one to two years with an investment bank or similar entity.
- Undergraduate degree from a top institution
- Demonstrated proficiency with the fundamentals of working as an integral member of a deal team.
- Attention to detail with exceptional analytical and diagnostic capability in a business environment.
- Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Proficient with computers and all Microsoft Office applications
- Can-do attitude and the ability to multi-task during short deadlines
- Self-confidence combined with a well-balanced personality to withstand the pressures of client service and to sort priorities in the course of managing resources and personal productivity.
